Poll Question:
Both Joe Sakic and Ryan Smyth are out indefinately due to injuries. What should Colorado do?

Choices:

Nothing, Stastny, Wolski, and Brunette are quite capable of leading the team.
Trade away draft picks and prospects for a proven leader to help this team now, and during playoffs.
Make a trade to bring in secondary scoring to temporarily help the team.
Call Peter Forsberg.

The team has a good balance of young and old so they COULD afford to use some of their prospects/picks to secure a solid first/second liner. With both injuries being more than 6 weeks at a critical time in a super tight rice in the North West, I think it would be prudent to make a move ASAP before other teams start flooding the market down the stretch and raising player's prices.

How much cap room does Colorado they have? Considering the severity of the injuries do Sakic's and Smyth's salaries count towards it? No right? Can anyone clarify?

Considering how injury prone Forsberg is, he probably would be a temporary fix!! So I didn't know whether to vote for option 3 or option 4!
