Round 2: in the west, #1 and #2 won (San Jose and Chicago) in the east, #8 and #7 won (Montreal and Philadelphia)
Round 3: #2 (Chicago) won the west #7 (Philadelphia) won the east

It happened the year the hurricanes won the cup if Im not mistaken. Top 4 seeds in the east, bottom 4 in the west. |
