As i sit here making my late night forum topics i think of one thing.... how average the Oilers are..They are actaually a bit below average.....they have no rookies or veterans....they just dont have anything and will always be that just out of the playoffs team....they have by far the worst management in modern day hockey...
If you put them and Phoenix together...i think of one thing...the two cities love of two things hockey and porn. These may be the two greatest cities in the hockey world but they have terrible teams....the people love hockey there....their love of porn and hockey brings me to hear one song............

Oiler will be dark horse this year with careers years coming from the young guns with a real coach anything is possible wow MACT doesn't have a job still who would have guessed that hes so smart MACBLENDER to the rescue to the leafs???? |

The Oilers may be mediocre, but the fact that big name players refuse to either sign or waive their no- trade clauses (Hello, Heatly) doesn't help matters. Although their management is sub par, it could be far worse, like that of Florida or the Islanders. That being said this season doesn't look that bright in Oil Country, there is no way in hell they will be able to take the division and if a forward doesn't step up they'll be right back to where they were last year. |

It doesn't help that management has to deal with players not wanting to play (or live, rather) in Edmonton. Makes it a bit harder (see Pronger, Heatley, etc).
And there's no way Tambellini solely makes the decisions, Lowe still has his hand in it for sure. |

I half agree that Edmonton has bad management. But Lowe no longer makes the desicions, Tambellini does so its getting better. Also having those new coaches cant hurt

Khabibulin is a definite step up from Roloson, no offense to him. One of the few moves that worked out for Edmonton . . . obviously, if the HEatley deal hadn't been kaiboshed, you'd all be planning the parade route on Whyte Ave right now, as that would have really created some excitement!
I'd rate Edmonton management as average . . . nothing more, nothing less.

The Bulin wall...their D still has it's holes, but at least they have a goalie that can stop those extra chances...good move for Oil Country!

Agreed, another bad deal in not signing Rolli. He is one of the most bang for your buck goalies in the NHL.
Their management is terrible. Why doesnt Katz just gut the team?

Now Its Tambs in control, not Lowe, so their managment is decent. Also he just unloaded penner and got Heatley, so theres a good move lol
The bad ones seem to outnumber the good ones.

lol...Guest6196...I think Guest8571 took full advantage of 1/2 pints on Mondays. You can tell by the fact that the Pheonix/Edmonton comparisons make no sense at all. I'll give him a free pass for writing on the forum when drunk. So I won't harp anymore :) lol
