Craig Conroy of the LA Kings has been traded to the Flames for Jamie Lundmark 2 future draft picks. http://www.calgaryflames.com/cgi-bin/news/comments.cgi?type=newsroom&file_num=0000001140

It seems like Conroy has actually picked up where he left off when he departed from the Flames. For all you nay-sayers he has 10 points (3/7) in 10 games. Looks like he's spreading it around too, it's not just against the "weak" teams, he has points against Detroit, Vancouver and Atlanta too.

I agree Babs. Overall, a trade of Lundmark and potentially low drafts picks for Conroy on paper is a good trade. But Calgary's success down the stretch will depend one two players, and Conroy is not one of them.

Don't get too ahead of yourselves guys, he scored against LA. Who hasn't?

Let's see how he does against a good team.

make that 2 goals, maybe him and Tanguay are developing some chemistry, Tanguay assisted both his goals. Too early to tell though.

Hey OC, I love this trade. Conroy is a quality center who will hopefully reignite the chemistry that he and Iginla had in 03/04 when they went on their cup run. I was very disappointed when the Flames traded Conroy away in the off season that year. With Tanguay and a couple others firing now, their line up is much deeper now than it was then so I think this will prove to be fruitful down the stretch. Conroy has had a bad season so far so I think the move will shake him up. I predict he'll get 25-ish points in the last 33 games which will be a whole lot better than Lundmark's 5.

more info on the trade...
