I flipped the puck up with my stick, caught it in my hand and threw it in, top corner.....
Didn't count ! I blamed the ref for our loss.

Guys, i got a question. Do you guys play hockey? If you do did you ever take shots in shootouts and score a good goal? If so what type of shot was it? Spin-o-rama, one-handed deke etc.

Guests come down, just relax.By the way mike ribeiros shot was pretty impressive.The goalie didnt really know where the puck was,look behind him and in front of him and it wasnt there.It was in the air.I'm still not sure about Linus Omarks chip shot because i may have enough.It would take forever to watch all the shootout goals.If you guys have a favourite shootout goal just show me the link and i will add itif it is really impressive,like the ones i got here.

I have to go with Marek Malik. As a Rangers fan, i was watching that game & the way things unfolded was just incredible. Both Lundqvist & Kolzig were incredible in the shootout, so when Michael Rozsival finally scored 1 shot earlier, i thought for sure it was over. I can't rememeber which Cap went next, but he scored to again tie it up. Then comes Malik it what, the 15th round or something ridicouls like that. He was the last person i ever thought would try a move like that, and it won the longest shootout thus far. His celebration afterwards was classic too!
There have been nicer shootout goals for sure, and the move Malik did is actually very easy to do, but just the facts that it was Malik & that is was in the 15th round make it a classic. |

As great as they all were I liked Ribeiro's best; screened the goaile himself. The puck bounced around in the goal for 2 seconds before Budaj had any idea where it was.

Datsyuk is the king. He has so many different tricks, and by no means are they easy to pull of, especially at the NHL level.
I hafta say Malik's was hands down the greatest goal ever in the shootout (NHL), ended the longest shootout with that move. Not one person in the building thought he was going to score, and he decides to do a move that has been virtually never tried again in the NHL and score. Great. |
