Ok here it goes i'm gonna give you questions that have to do with "firsts", and you're gonna answer them.
I'll start you off with 3.

1) Who was the first goalie to lose a game without giving up a goal?
2)What was the name of the first all black hockey league?
3)What was the first team to score 5 empty net goals in one game?

Since no one...

1.) Roland Huard 1 goal Toronto Maple Leafs 1930-31.
2.) Frank "Flash" Hollett 20 goals in 1944-45 Detroit Red Wings.
3.) 111 Mel Hewitt with the Salt Lake Golden Eagles in the 1986-87 season. Non NHL, but you did not specify...

Toe Blake is a forward he played on the famous ''Punch Line'' with Maurice Richard and Elmer Lach.
Patchy Posted - 07/21/2007 : 17:48:41
And it's not Bobby Orr, there was someone before him.

Question 29...There have been four players to score a goal in their only NHL game...

I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.
- - Marshall McLuhan

haha I didn't notice you had a similiar question, you can probably guess who the first was since you know all four...

PainTrain Posted - 07/20/2007 : 12:23:09
Bobby Orr was the first defenceman to score 20 goals in a season.
PuckNuts Posted - 07/20/2007 : 05:40:01
Yes I know he is asking for the first. I asked for the four, so obviously he would be included in the answer to my question...

I just thought it was a neat coincidence...

I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.

New questions:

1)Who was the first NHL player to score a goal in his only NHL game?
2)Who was the first defenseman to score 20 goals in a season?
3)Who was the first player to wear a triple-digit number?

Patchy Posted - 07/16/2007 : 10:41:16

Erin Whitten is the first female goaltender to win a professional hockey game. On Oct 30, 1993 she played for the Toledo Storm (ECHL) and won the game 6-5 over the Dayton Bombers.

Manon Rheaume played in an exhibition game for the Tampa Bay lightning on Sept 23, 1992. She played the second period only, she stopped 7 of 9 shots. The St. Louis Blues won the game 6-4.

There has never been a woman play in an NHL regular season game…

The one about the defenseman playing 20 seasons?? Yes because even though he played some of it as a forward, Dit Clapper is the answer.

Yea sometime between the 40's and the 70's it was kind of like b-ball is now, they played a full 10-min overtime, not sudden death.

PuckNuts Posted - 04/01/2007 : 19:17:43
Neat question, at one time the NHL had overtime that was not sudden death, must have been before your time...

Patchy Posted - 04/01/2007 : 11:08:06

next questions will be:
5)What was the first NHL arena to use a zamboni?
6)Who was the first NHL player to score 3 overtime goals in one game?
7)Who was the first NHL goaltender to win 300 NHL games without winning the stanley cup?
