Hi all,
Since the season's over I figured I would post the results of the pool and I figured that it was high time I got back to posting here.
Anyhow for the Pickup Hockey Pool here are the results. (Pending final reconciliation of points by the wonderful admins of the pickup hockey team).

Well it's just after 9pm paciific, so this pool is closed. I received teams from:
Willus
Leafs Rock Planet
Paintrain
PuckNuts
Spade632
Patchy
Canucks Man
Beans15
1 point for a goal, 1 point for an assist. 0.5 for (+), -0.5 for (-).
Goalies 2 points for any type of win, 3 bonus points for a shutout.
I will try to set up the pool as quick as I can. Once it's done, I will sent out an e-mail to each person with the log in and password.

In the pool setup I do not see goals against for the goalies, how are you going to calculate that stat ?

Alright, we can still do this. However, there should be a time limit. I forgot about it too!!

I agree Kashmire, but losing 0.5 points for a goal allowed evens it out. So, it your goalie wins a game 5-4, they let in 4 goals, so their net points for the game is 0.

I don't really like goalies in pools. They can make or break a team. I'd rather not have them or decrease it to 1 point per win and an additional 2 points(3) for a shutout. If everyone else likes having goalies then I guess I'll just roll with it but I would prefer none. |

If we were to do a draft pool I think it would take way too long. Unless that is what everyone wants to do. It doesn't matter to me!

Would this be a draft or straight pool. I would hope for 10 player draft because I think it involves more knowledge. You do straight and everyone goes for practically half the All-Star game players. |
