This is a nice pick up for the Flames. They signed unrestricted free agent winger Jeff Friesen to a one-year deal worth $1.6 million. good price for a guy who can light it up....sometimes.

Light it up? He had 4 goals and 11 points last season. Oh wait this is the Flames we are talking about. Right so that makes Friesen their top scorer behind only Iginla right?

Ha Ha - ok I will lay off the Flames. But seriously, it has been a few years since he has done anything. Maybe Sutter will get a bit more out of him.

Well in his defence, blade did say "sometimes". He's hot and cold and I bet he won't be any colder than Amonte was. LOL!

He had some 60+ point seasons with the Sharks, but you're right, he has fallen off the last few years. Maybe playing back in Canada in a hockey city will fire him up. I guess we'll see.

Well...how Freisen has frozen...much colder that Amonte...but he has never lost in a Game 7 in the playoffs...that's what he's here for
