Poll Question:
It's a tight race in the Eastern Conference this year. Of only these teams, which will definitely NOT make the playoffs?

| From the current standings, it looks like Montreal. Ever since they lost Huet they've been falling behind. NYR and NYI aren't doing so hot either. NYR is one point ahead but they've played one more game, so they're playing at about the same level. Carolina's also a point ahead of NYR and has played one more game, but I think they have more potential to make it to the playoffs with players like Brind'Amour, Cole, Williams, and Staal. |

Are you better than the leafs? Are the Canucks? Maybe, can't decide at this moment but actually think about it. So far your logic fails. Get some insight. Stop hating the leafs for because the media loves them. They deserve the media. It's quite alot though. They had a dynasty, they are the wealthiest team in the NHL in the most popular tourist area in Canada. The ony other NHL american teams that are close to them are the Rangers and maybe LA though I'm not sure if LA gets fans down there. The media should ease down on the Leafs, I agree, it's too much. As for the poll question, I think...NYI or Montreal won't make it. ( I wish it was the 'Canes though ) |

are you serious kashmire? you are actually thinking if the canucks are better then the leafs? The canucks have 92 pts and first place in their division, the leafs have 78 pts who are tied in 4th for their divison. The Canucks beat the leafs 6-1 in Toronto. Face facts Canucks are way better then the leafs

I know Montreal is nothing without Huet, but I continue to beleve they can make it. I also think that Toronto will not make it!

The Habs have by far the easiest schedule- HUet is back this week. They play the Ranger x 2, Bost X 3, Ott, Wash, Buff and TO. I can count 6 wins there to give them 90pts, should be enough this year. And they will have more wins than everyone else, so a tie would likely go to them.
Toronto, Ils and Carolina will not make it,

8.NYR

The Leafs are a mediocre team at best. Why should everyone be convinced that they are going to pull this off? A lot of Leafs fans brag about having the biggest fan base of any team in the NHL and it is probably correct, but it is absolutely correct that they are also the most hated team in hockey. Did you expect people to get behind them?
If the Leafs were in the West they would have been eliminated a month ago. They are lucky they play in a weaker Eastern conference. |
