Poll Question:
If you owned an NHL franchise and you had to trade one of your players, who would you trade? but all these players are not on your team only the one you pick is on your team.

I also like Thornton (even before the SJ days) but I couldn't trade away Jagr. |

I could only seriously trade Gaborik and Forsberg, cause they are both good players, but are also part of the Band-Aid Brigade. All those other guys are franchise players and there is no way I would trade them, not even for each other. Except Cam Ward who is a really good young goaltender( and has been a proven No.1 since his days in Red Deer where he stole the show in the WHL), but for Luongo, come on, he has not been proven yet, and I say yet, even with the cup. Cause he came in as a back-up into playoffs and had a good team in front of him, and he is just now a starter. Luongo is proven, the guy can win games, struggling a bit, but doesn't have a huge supporting cast. So Band-Aid Brigade it is. |

Forsberg is getting old, and if Gaborik stays un-injured, then he'll be amazing. |

Ovechkin for Crosby because Crosby is looking alot better then Ovechkin this year but Ovechkin doesnt have much of a supporting cast so I don't know it would be close.

Who is Sid's supporting cast?
Once again backing up my opinion that Ovechkin is an unstoppable talent, while Sid makes the players around him better.

Currently Forsberg for Gaborik makes the most sense. However if both were 93% healthy (thats 100% for their heap of bones ) and I was making a cup run I'd not do the deal.Other than that I'd do the deal as there' s more upside with the youthier (by 9 yrs ) Gaborik who can turn defenders inside out with his delicious change of pace................................Can't understand why most of the votes are with Ovechkin for Crosby.Even though different styles , they are quite equal in talent, impact and marketabillity..............................Stall for Naslund , ARE YOU WHACKED??????? ......can't waste valuable breathing time on that one............................Second best trade ,of that list ,would be Sundin for Rolston(Before I go in to hiding from the wrath of all the Soup Boy fans , I'll briefly explain)...Rolston's speed combined with a hard working defensive awareness and his ability to generate offense REGARDLESS of his surroundings is only one of the reasons. The other SIGNIFICANT benefit would be freeing up Soup Boy's salary to replace it with say 5 Rolston,Peca Tucker Roberts Gionta types to attain determination , grit and intensity along with some scoring capabilities ,yet maintaining defensive skills....................I know .I know then you'd have a team without a (questionable) SOUP er STAR and you'd end up looking like the Devils or Canes or having to work hard in unison like the Flames ,Ducks,Preds or Oilers in order to have any success.....................DAGNABIT |

Sakic for Gagne looks pretty decent. Gange has been very inconsistent while Sakic has 39 points so far in this season. The second take out Gagne and put Sakic in the dressing room you will see sigificant difference(in a GOOD way : ) |

I said Gagne for Sakic. Sakic is great, and I almost said Ovechkin for Crosby but I'd want them both on my team |

i picked E. Staal for M. Naslund
Naslund is doing really bad right now and Staal is on fire
like 1 month ago the Canucks captain didn't score for almost 20 games!!
Staal is way better than that

that doesn't make any sense why would you do the trade if you think Staal is better? |

Dude if u want sakic why are u trading him away, the trade says sakic for gagne, witch means u would give up sakic for gagne. I pivked Ovechkin for Crosby, only cuz i would like to see if crosby could do well without the supporting cast

Ward for Luongo. Ward only had a good playoff run and has played ok this year but Luongo is a premier, and probably the best, goalie in the league. And a Leafs fan is saying this.

Why are Loungo and Ward even being compared to each other. As much as I hate the Nuck's Luongo is BY FAR the better goalie, and if I could unload Ward for Luongo, seems like a no-brainer to me! Thats almost like comparing Roloson to Brodeur!

I would probably do the Ward Luongo trade because Luongois the most dominant goalie in the league and Canucks would probbaly suck if they din't have him (even though Canucks are my favorite team). |
