Steve Downie is being taken off on a stretcher right now in the Rangers/Lighting game. He was battling for the puck with Dan Girardi, and the blade of his stick jammed into the boards & the other end speared himself.

Just to update, MSG went to commerical break, and the when they came back, Downie was actually able to get up on his own & with the help of teammates skated off the ice.

If he's hurt in any way shape or form, then you have to figure it's that little thing called KARMA!

This kid had so much potential then came in the league and skated around like a ticking timebomb. Seems like he is finally getting it in tampa ,plays well on that first line and is a first time 20 goal scorer. Besides the crosby incident not too long ago I think he is finally shoring up his game and realizing he can make an impact, a positive one for his team. Pretty odd injury spearing yourself in the boards though haha maybe karma was at play.
