My vote is for Toronto as well. You are right in the fact that most people West of the T-Dot really don't like the Leafs.
Bab's, that hurt. What has Alberta ever done to you?? Oh ya, the Sharks can't beat Alberta in the Play-offs. I understand now. |

| Well that too, but it's mainly the goalies. There are no two goalies in the league I hate more than Kiprusoff and Roloson. It's about 5% because they beat the Sharks and 95% other reasons that I've ranted about before and I won't get into again. I don't think I would hate these two teams as much if neither goalie was on them. It sucks because as much as I would have liked to cheer for the Canadian team in the last two Stanley Cup Finals, I just couldn't because of those two... |

| Roli looked pretty sharp at the start of this year and he was amazing in the playoffs last year. As a die hard Oiler Fan, I still don't know why they would invest in a 36 year old goalie who's career year was 50 games and 23 wins. I agree, he's not my favorite player, but c'mon. You could have chosen Toronto, Vancouver, any team from the States (save your precious Sharks) and you have to pick on Alberta. |

Toronto hands down! I don't understand why there is such a following for the leafs cuz they just can't cut it in the playoffs. As well I think HNIC shows way too many leafs games and people just get sick of watching them. Except for people who live there i guess.

Does anyone else find it pathetic that when the NHL designed the schedule that Toronto has a game EVERY SATURDAY NIGHT?? Most of them are at home as well. I know that there is a huge population in Toronto and that CBC has to try to satisfy thier viewers. I would think that CBC should do some kind of online poll weekly that gives each area an opportunity to pick the game they want to see. I would like to see a little more Ottawa and Montreal when they are not playing Toronto. It seems the only time that you see any Canadian team in the early game is when they play Toronto. I would love to see more Ottawa/Montreal games, or Cal/Edm/Van against Ott or Mont.

Up until last year the Sabres bored the hell out of me and I could barely tune into a period let alone an entire game. They are pretty damn exciting now though! It's nice to see a TEAM actually win games rather than a couple indivdual stars. I'm about ready to dump my beloved leafs, no not really but they could take a page out of the Sabres book.

| Semin, those teams you named aren't doing well this season, could that have to do with your reason to pick them? I like Chicago and Pheonix alot. Doan, Laraque, and Nagy are great in my opinion and enough for me to like the coyotes. Chicago has Havlat, Bondra, Handzus and many more good players(very underrated team imo b/c of their bad coaching and, before Havlat and Bondra, chemistry). Well I guess I'm just wondering what makes you hate those teams? |

I don't think it's really any suprise who my least favorite is......It has my most hated current nhl player on it...And is the owner is my all time least favorite player!!!! (why would anyone hate montreal or washington? those 2 teams don't strike me as the type of teams ppl would hate)

True and i understand becuase all of those teams are in last but the coytes it just doesnt seem that they care anymore. and i just hate the flyers period and the blues i just dont like there guys!

well my least favourite team is the vancouver canucks
and its kinda strange how everyone hates the leafs, i mean, them and the habs are the nhl's 2 most storied franchises, i think most ppl hate the leafs bcause of that, and bcause of the toronto media, but that isnt the leafs fault |

You must have a short memory guest. Do you remember a guy by the name of Yashin? He held out on the Sens, refusing to honour a contract he had negotiated a couple of years before? I can't recall for certain, but I think that contract was either after another hold out, or the threat of one. He basically stabbed the fans in the back, then left them. Then the idiot Islanders actually rewarded him for doing that with a long term contract worth something like $10 million per season.
Couple that with the DiPietro deal, and the signing of Garth Snow as GM after firing Neil Smith after about 20 minutes on the job, and you get the impression that sense, reason, and intelligence are not prerequisites for being hired by the Islanders. In fact, that kind of stuff will keep you from landing a job with them.
That is why the Islanders are my most hated team. |
