It's always interesting to look back and see how smart we all are.
The only bold prediction I had that might come close to true is Cary Price as a Vezina Finalist.
And that was intended to be a joke!! |

Bold Prediction #2 Kessel will top 40 goals and 80 points playing with Tyler Bozak this year.
Bold Prediction #3 We're off the Leafs wagon with this one . . . Buffalo tumbles down, down, down, way out of the playoffs this year and bottom of their division. Injuries, average play from Miller, etc.
Bold Prediction #4 Neither Seguin nor Hall win rookie of the year.
I liked the bold prediction about the Sedins getting 100 points, nice one.

Well, I was right on #4 - I think we can all agree already that neither Seguin nor Hall will win the award, so that's one out of 4 correct. Tough luck for Hall, as without his injury, he would have been in the voting, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.
Bold prediction #1 is half right - the Leafs HAVE, in fact, contended for a playoff spot . . . and I suppose we still have a very outside chance of making the top 8, although very unlikely at this point. I'll take a half credit for this one right now!
#2, for Kessel to get 40g, 80 points . . . well, I will fall short here. He is likely to get his usual 30 goals, 60 points. Bozak was a bit of a bust, and just not skilled enough for this to happen. Kessel was Kessel . . . inconsistent, great when he was hot, and cold as the ice he skated on when not.
#3 was the only one I was totally wrong on - Miller played great, and for me, Buffalo is one of the surprise teams holding a playoff spot right now. Even if they fall out of the top 8, they were still a lot better than I thought they were, so credit to Ruff and the coaching staff, and the team. But mostly it's Miller.
So, one totally wrong, one totally right, and two half right . . . that's not bad, I think - I'll put that up against anyone else's bold predictions!
