Poll Question:
Just to be clear, this is for the best LEADER, not the best player.
There was once a license plate in Toronto that abbreviated "Go Leafs" it read "Golfs".

Shane Doan, hands down.
2nd place is a tie between Iginla and Lidstrom.
Third, Captain Serious (Toews).
The arena wall in chicago should be credited with a goal. |

The NHL has plenty of quality Captains.
Iginla, Nash, Doan, Lidstrom. The list goes on.

why are this and the seguin topic in vancouver page?
The list of best captain goes on forever as irvine says but Toews as good as a potential captain this guy is he still will need help leading the team due to his youngness.
The best captain is Henrik Sedin because of the page it is on

Does it really matter what page the topic is in? It was on the home page, if the mods want to move it they will.
Best Captain for me is Nick Lidstrom. The guy perfectly embodies everything a captain should have, and he learned from perhaps the best ever (Steve Yzerman in case you didn't no) Not to mention the man is seemingly ageless, and currently on pace for his best season ever.

the problem with polls like this is you're asking to pick one of a group where the individual strengths or weaknesses are nearly impossible to differentiate in any meaningful way, given the poll. Is Chara really better or worse than Iginla, or Crosby, or whoever? They each are very good captains for their team, and no doubt bring a very high level of leadership in their respective roles.
For leadership alone, I'd take any one of them. |
