I hate the way that he plays. And I think that because he over-achieved(a bit) last year that now everybody think he's so great and that now that Cheechoo isn't scoring he's not racking up points. |

Well I'll give you that he's not always EXCITING to watch but he is definitely one of the best players in the league, if not the best at controlling the puck down low and dragging opponents behind the net. That may not be highlight-reel material but it's amazing to watch for someone like me who likes to see displays of talent like his. Also, he OFTEN draws penalties while doing this because players have such a hard time controlling him, that they often have to hook on or latch on to him. Either that or they are afraid to take a penalty so he breaks free and sends what are usually sweet passes to the front or to the slot, where Cheechoo lived last year.
It doesn't always have to be Cheechoo. When Thornton and Marleau played together earlier in the year they had amazing chemistry too (coincidence that they were #1 and #2 overall in the '97 draft?). He's like Crosby or Forsberg, anyone who plays with them should and usually does rack up points. |

And yeah I like it when you hit it right and it does this huge parabola in the air then lands head first. What we need is a game like that except the yeti has a Flame thrower and a Leaf falls off the tower LOL  |
