Well yeah, they'll win one again but not in the near future. You can't say they'll never win one ever again...you have no idea what their team will look like 20 years from now. They might be really good for all we know (but I hope not ) |

Not under JFJr. Whenever he leaves is when they once again become contenders. Provided a decent GM replaces him. |

You can't just say no becuase you hate them. If we are asking a real question then answer truthfully. (Unless you really think they never will). But honestly I think they have a chance of winning again....

Just because they can't this year or next year or the year after dosent mean thay can't do what Carolina did last year. Build a good young roster, get in in a low seed and then get lucky. |

Its not only JFJr. its the ownership. the Leafs are owned by MLSE and all they care about is making money. Back when they used to win Conn Smythe owned the team. He made money on way or another since the Leafs weren't his financial lifeline it made no difference to him weather they won or lost but he was committed to owning a winner. Now that private investors own the team they don't care and it hurts the team. |

Carolina came second in the east last year, Not exactly a low seed, and you might use the Division Excuse but they actually would have come in second if it wasnt division leaders 1,2,3

That has nothing to do with what I said. They need a GM who can maintain a competitive team without ONLY focusing on the short-term. It has nothing to do with money, well maybe only the fact that JFJr. doesn't know how to spend it on players. |
