Poll Question:
Lets face it - these guys had major flaws in their game and never produced in the hard hitting Mans division (the East). Still they had their cute little spinnarama moves, those cute back passes and cuter tucked in jersey skating styles.
Who had a higher peak value and better career value?
I always thought Malinowksi had the most complete game of these three.
Savard was one of my all time favourite players to watch. Very entertaining. The level of sheer skill he possessed was incredible. Unbelievably fast and incredible with the puck. Even now he is the only one that was proficient at the spin o rama with any kind of speed. Early in his career he was very much run and gun but later when he was with Montreal he learned how to play responsibly in his own end.
One on One and break aways, Savard was the best all time(in my opinion).
But you know who I voted for. Watching the Oilers growing up, you could see that a break out with Gretzky and Kurri with almost anyone else (Messier, Anderson, a bag of pucks) and 8/10 times there was a great scoring chance. And many of them went in. That all started with Gretzky.
