My overall one is Ray Bourque. He was so classy and so consistent, and he played his heart out. But maybe more important than anything, he did one of the all-time nice guy gestures for Espo with the sweater thing.
I also like Sittler by the way, good leader, very nice guy and exciting to watch. The other one would be Terry O'Reilly. Always admired that despite his lack of natural talent, he worked his butt off and had a very successful career in the NHL.
In the last 10-15 years, my favorite is probably Sakic for similar reasons to Bourque.
oh, and by the way, I think I am all three of those persons, one who makes things happen, watches things happen, and wonders what the hell just happened |

That was one of my father's favourite expressions Pucknuts. He would say it quite often. Another one of my favourites he used to use was "Go chase headlights" It still makes me laugh. Perhaps I'll add that as a quote at the bottom of my posts. |

Mine is Mats Sundin. He is the heart and soul of the Leafs.

| Jagr has always been my #1 favorite player, but that's not to say I don't have close seconds. Afinogenov, the Kozlovs (ain't that right Leafs fans? ), Malkin, Hasek, and Briere to name a few. |

Jim McKenny was my first fav until Sittler came along...

I used to tell my son to play in traffic, and he did, well road hockey anyways...

| So many to choose from....being a goalie, I always loved Roy's style, his determination on the ice (off the ice, on the other hand...), and I grew up watching Potvin, so he's up there too. Player wise, I've always liked the way Gary Roberts plays, but ever since he's enter the league I've had a "man-crush" on Dion Phaneuf. That dood is tough! |

I support the local boys, because i like to see the games live, and have a competitive team to watch.
Longish story... my favourite players tend to be guys that have been on my fantasy team for a long time. I've been playing in a fantasy league for about 15 years, and Demitra, Hossa and Lecavalier are all guys i drafted as rookies. So it is the success of certain players that i am more interested in, but with hockey being a team sport, if my guys are to do well, then their teams need to do well. So for the past few years i have been cheering for Tampa and Atlanta mostly... |
