I didn't like it, but this sort of stuff has been going on for years...Anisimov hardly took it to new extremes. A couple of examples that instantly come to mind are Alex Ovechkin a couple years ago, Teemu Selanne throwing his glove in the air & shooting it back in the 90s, or how about Tiger Williams riding his stick years ago. Regardless, i think it's safe to say Anisimov will never do that again
The difference with Anisimov is that his taunt was a direct "in your face taunt" by pointing his "gun" at lecavalier. In the NFL touchdown celebrations are allowed, but as soon as the celebration goes over the line, like by involving a member of the team being scored on, it is a penalty. Perhaps the NHL should adapt a similar system. Even Selanne shooting his own glove, and Ovi's "hot stick" even though they were a little outlandish, they still didn't include directly mocking the team being scored on.
