I got an idea that I want to hear if you all would like to do. I don't no how well I can put this into words but I will try.
I want to find out who the best team ever was. Was it someone like the 67' Leafs or the 77' Canadians. Once we have 16 teams we will put it into a NHL like playoff bracket. I will put the team and its stats in for the people to see and voting will go on for 3 days before that series is locked. The winner will advance and the loser goes out until we have a winner.
If you have any questions plese feel free to post them because I don't know how clear I was. I would like an imput on teams to use to.
So far I have:
67 Leafs
77'Canadians
72'Bruins
85' Oilers
02' Wings
If you think of anymore post them.

It would be good too if you can post the rosters of each of these teams so everyone can do some research before voting if they wish.

The 74 Bruins were awesome even though they didn't end up with the cup that year.
I will grudgingly say the 75 Flyers as well.

The Vancouver Province did this a few weeks ago. They used the opinions of a panel of 8 "expert judges', and combined that with votes from readers.
They started with 16 teams, then set them up in brackets to determine 8 winners, then 4, and so on.
The 16 teams:
- 1950-51 Toronto Maple Leafs
- 1951-52 Detroit Red Wings
- 1955-56 Montreal Canadiens
- 1960-61 Chicago Blackhawks
- 1962-63 Maple Leafs
- 1971-72 Boston Bruins:
- 1974-75 Philadelphia Flyers
- 1976-77 Montreal Canadiens
- 1981-82 Islanders
- 1983-84 Oilers
- 1987-88 Oilers
- 1988-89 Calgary Flames
- 1991-92 Pittsburgh Penguins
- 1995-96 Colorado Avalanche
- 2000-01 Avalanche
- 2001-02 Red Wings

I have a book called 1967 (or 67) about the leafs winning in 67..That team was kind of washed up, and it was very unexpected that they won. The leafs from the earlier 60's(and 50's) were way more impressive

Ok all of the matchups are up. I will let voting continue until 7 pm Sunday evening, when all of the polls will be closed and the winner will advance. If Admin could make one of the matchups the feature poll that would be good. Thx:)
