Derek Roy is the new Chris Drury. Good offensively and defensively. Tim Connelley is a good passer just like Daniel Briere so he will be the one feeding passes to Jason Pomminville and get Pomminville another 30 goal season. The 3rd line will be the reason the Sabres will go far in the playoffs. If Ales Kotalik can start moving his feet more and Paul Gaustad battling hard in the corner this line can be a big impact on the team.
Afinogenov and Vanek have the biggest load on there back. But this season seems like it could be a break out season for Afniogenov because if he played a whole season last year he got around 90 points.
The Defence shouldn't change too much and Hockey News forgot that Teppo Numminen signed a 1 year contract so he will be in the line up. Andrej Sekera can also fill in the odd time for injuries.
And the Sabres now have quite a bit of cap space so they can also pick up another player by the trade deadline.
That's what the team should look like!
