Rumor has it that Ted Nolan is the frontrunner to land the New Jersey Devils vacant coaching position. It is about time this guy gets another chance to coach in the NHL.

I agree! He got a raw deal way back when. He should have had a second chance years ago. Hope he gets it.

I can't say I knew that, I didn't see him coach much because he was out east. All I know was his team was kicking ass and then he was let go and it was pretty controversial. What did he do that made him a whiner?

He often used his minority status as an excuse for bad things that happened to him. I do acknowledge though he did face some racial scrutiny, and I can understand that it would be tough. I'm certainly not a racist myself, but using the fact he's a Native American as a crutch just isn't the biggest "turn on" if you get my drift. He might not have done it often, but I just don't like when it happens period.

All this to say though, that he's not even a front-runner for the job anymore.
