I was just sitting here thinking about some of the great moments of hockey I've witnessed over the years, and I thought of the game linked below. I was so excited when I found it on youtube, I just had to share it.

I remember watching this game on TV. When this happened, I can honestly say I literally fell off of my chair laughing. This made me believe in God again.

That was awesome!! There have been some great Player/Fan incidents over the years. Remember when Mike Milbury beat the guy with the shoe? or when Tiger Williams beat up the guy in the penilty box and after the game when asked what he was doing he said "I was trying to help him up"

I've seen the Bruins fight the crowd one. I think it just disgraces hockey. I remember the Pistons=Pacers fight at the Palace and was bad. But this is a 1,000,000 times worse. The Bruins fans should have been embarrassed.

When it happened I thought it was funny. I mean, what type of idiot starts beating a fan with a shoe? Only one of my beloved Bruins! Embarrassment? Maybe now, but back as a young and admittedly very biased Bruin diehard (particularly of those lunch pail Bruins!), I'm sure I easily rationalized it ("well, the fan did grab his stick!" - I can still hear myself now) and in fact probably was even a little proud that it was my "crazy Bruins" who went up there. Just being honest with ya. I was a young guy don't forget. I basically had three interests. The Bruins, girls and the Bruins.

Substitute Leafs instead of Bruins and you have me summed up pretty quick.

Same with me, except for the leafs part, they're on my hate list: Leafs School and Sens

The going into the stands thing is a lost art. It's funny, although it was bad to watch now, I remember people back in the day being pretty matter-of-fact about it.

I happen to know Tiger Williams a bit, and he used to go into the stands once in awhile if the game needed a pick me up. He would tell you, it was more for entertainment than out of actual anger. The guy is hilarious, and a really good guy deep down. My buddy is really good friends with him, and nothing but great things to say about his kind character.

I know younger people will think I am nuts, but it was a different time - the "Slapshot" era. People didn't worry so much about lawsuits and stuff. I'm not sure it was all such a bad thing.

Considering all the dirty garbage and intentional injuries this jerk caused this seems fair.

Bryan Marchment goes into seizure on ice (1997): With sickening force, Bryan Marchment's head slammed into the open penalty box door during a playoff game at Dallas. He suffered a concussion and his body went into convulsions as he lay on the ice. Marchment made a full recovery.

Ouch.

Although I am glad Marchment made a complete recovery, he crossed the line many times in his career. Not a great example of a tough Canadian hockey player, but a dirty one.
