Where are the pens this year? I see Malkin and Crosby pulling the entire team. gonchar is out, Whitney is in a slump and Fleury, is he even the starting goalie anymore? Recchi was waived by the club yesterday, an attempt to send him to the minors, another veteran not playing well. And what happened Gary Roberts, is he even on the team anymore?

It's true.
I think the problem is, none of them know how to handle the media like the big two. I'm not sure if you are aware, at least with the Leafs, but I'm sure it is this way with any other team in the sporting industry: the rookies are taught how to handle the media in a one week seminar prior to training camp.
Malkin and Crosby are mature beyond their years, expecially Sid. The rest of the team might feel pushed aside, and might not feel appreciated, or might trying to take their role lightly and trying to play someoene else's hockey, not their own. You have to remember you are dealing with tender emotions in these young guns.
