I heard that there was a possible trade between the pens and Stars. This was the offer

To Stars:

That rumor originated from a letter to the editor of The Hockey News. A Pens' fan suggested that MA Fleury might benefit under the tutelage of Marty Turco. The writer also opined that trading Staal now would alleviate the pressure of having to sign him, AND Evgeni Malkin, as they will hit free agency at the same time. Sabourin, theoretically, would be a throw-in, for a draft pick. Know your sources.
The Oil WILL make the playoffs. |

As I said before, know your sources. It is all fun, but you can't make up trades without having anything to back it up. Trade rumours are a lot of fun, but when unfounded, they really water down.

When someone posts a trade it would be nice to say.
1) I made this up what do you think.
2.) Breaking news that I saw this on the internet, here is the link.
3.) I read this in an article in a paper publication, listing the publication.
That is not too hard.
No big deal, I think we just want to know if it is "news" or a made up rumour. If you know who Eklund is then you will undersatnd what I am talking about...

thats a terrible rumour. Smith is part of the Stars plans and if anyone is going it is Turco. The only deal that will happen between Stars and pens will include Mark Recchi. This rumour is horses***

Just curious why Dallas would trade for Recchi when they could have picked him up on waivers for nothing...
