Paul Coffey??? Anyone??
Think of him as a player, the accomplishments he made, and production he did, and the way he took the position the next step after Bobby Orr opened the door.
Paul Coffey has got to be close. |

I gotta toss one out here that will get either laughs or respect.
As possibly the most under rated player in the history of the game, I will nominate Gordie's little boy:

I'll second Robinson as I still don't understand Coffey ahead of him.

I'll nominate Brad Park.
Edit - If you haven't already, check out my argument for him in the Comments thread. Also, when I was reading up on him I found some comments strongly insisting that he, not Potvin, deserved the Norris in '77/78. Even if that's not the case, the guy clearly played in the wrong decade. Put him in this decade and Lidstrom may have at least a few less Norris trophies. Five less anyone?
