1. Trotts 2. Sir Raymond 3. Stevie Y 4. Espo
* having a lot of trouble deciding on 3 and 4 - but as of right now, I'm giving Stevie the edge based on the fact that he learned how to play quite well defensively in the latter part of his career
** You have to love all of the guys above (No offense to Orr, Gretzky and Lemieux, but I prefer lists like above with the more "down on this planet" greats |

It feels so wrong not to have Bossy here to me....
Trots Espo Bourque Yzerman
Just a heads up this ranking would probably change if I did it again in ten minutes, so try not to hang me again if it looks different next time. |

The whole idea is to have at least 5 players to vote on. Just because the player you think is the next best is already nominated, or seconded does not mean that you should not nominate or second another player.
If you do this then I am sure there will be a time when only one player gets nominated. Is that what we really want???

In theory that would mean that everyone agreed on that position so I'm not sure it would be a problem really.

If the whole idea is to have at least five nominees then everyone who is nomitated should be included in the vote, not just those who were seconded. Why should someone be forced to nominate someone if they don't feel that person belongs with the group already nominated? |

Pucknuts - in any case, it would be nice to get the thing finished before the end of this hockey season. So perhaps at the beginning of the nominations, and the beginning of the voting, you should give a time limit (2 days? maybe 3?), and if people don't have their nominations and votes in, then we just go with what we have. I mean, it's nice to keep everyone involved and try to make the list as good as possible with everyone's input, yes, but as a former boss of mine once said,
"Sometimes you just have to get the project done for the sole sake of getting it done, regardless of formality, or even quality".
That's an exact quote (except it was in Japanese) |

In the end we are looking for the BEST player. I just don't feel that we should be obligated to insert a random person we are not going to vote for when it comes down it anyways.
Just seems like it'd save some time in the end. And get the same results.

This should be a very easy undertaking for a group of 10-11 people.
The rules were set out, agreed too, and now we have issues???
If everyone on the committee came to this board once per day they would see the next step, then we would have a player selected every three days at the least...
Fine you have three days to respond...Or you lose the right to nominate, second, and vote in that round...
