I just got my newest issue of MacLean's magazine and Todd Bertuzzi is on the cover. The article is about how Canada is just mean enough to win the Gold. It didn't really slam Bertuzzi too bad and brought up some other forgettable moments in hockey like the Maurice Richard stick swinging that started the Montreal riots, and Bobby Clarke intentionally breaking Kharlamov's leg in '72. It seemed to defend Gretzky's decision to choose Bertuzzi by saying Richard and Clarke would be on Canada in their prime - regardless of the ugly incidents.
Bertuzzi is in. He deserves to be there. He has all the necessary components: size, speed, talent, and a mean streak. Gordie Howe probably loves the guy. And if Gordie approves, I approve.
