Puck, you got it. Here's the info I found on it.
Not unlike the game itself, sweaters have gone through their own evolution since organized hockey began. The first jerseys were woollen and knitted by local women. Team emblems and stripes were always standard decoration, but player numbers didn't appear until around 1912. Little changed until the switch from wool to polyester in the 1960s, and the Rangers sported the first jerseys with the player's names in 1974. Teams immediatley began picking up on the practice, which was soon adopted into a NHL rule.
Maybe the Seal were the first, but I based the question off of this information.

I found it in a hockey trivia site. Not sure if I could find it again if I wanted to.
I also found the Seals thing and that Detroit toyed with the idea in '66.
Who knows for sure. Regardless, Pucks board

Sorry not Lubomir Visnovsky, he was only 24.
Lubomir Sekeras was 31 in the 2000 draft.
Thanks for the link, I am sure they meant the oldest in the 2000 draft.
The player I am looking for was in the later half of the 30's in age when he was drafted...

I am not sure why they drafted him, I thought once the draft has passed you by, and you are 20 that you are a free agent...unless that rule was not in effect at the time he was drafted...

I think it's Lafontaine as well, but for the record, NY is not the only state with 3 teams.

Two part question.
1. How many goalies have been credited with a goal in the NHL?
2. Name them all.

Don't forget about Nabokov.. I remember seeing his goal. For some reason I think there is one more that was kinda recent that eludes me. Were there any more? |

No, he's not one of the goalies on the list.

Technically you got it, but the first part of the question was "How many goalies have been credited with a goal." The answer is 9, but there have been 11 goals scored by goalies, because both Brodeur and Hextall have done it twice.
Your board Leafsfan.
