The Ottawa Senators have signed Swedish Forward Peter Forsberg to a two year deal, worth 9.2 million.
Is this a good deal for the Senators?

A great deal. Although it would not happen, technically speaking, imagine the lines remaining the same with Forsberg on the THIRD line. That gives you three full lines (obviously the first, the second led by Fisher is still potent, and the third with Pete anchoring it ain't too shabby) that can put the biscuit in the basket. I do not care how good your coaching staff is, you can not compete with that.

This website is a rumour one. They also claim the Sens nabbed Wolski from the Avs. Read the date stamp on the article! Pete ain't going nowhere any time soon. Not until the 26th at least
Note: ESPN has a lot of buzz surrounding Forsberg. Nothing official, though speculation indicates he will be moved somewhere. Not sure where.

i heard forsberg has turned down offers from the detroit red wings san jose sharks and a couple other teams and the only possibilities left are Colorado (no surprise) philly, and ottawa, altho these facts came from a friend he did say he heard about this on TV..... but it could be wrong im only saying what i kno

Just a suggestion,
before posting something up, use a reputable site. I would suggest if you read it on NHL.com, sportsnet.ca, or tsn.ca I would not use it. Or very clearly talk about it being a rumor.
Since Forsberg is still skating in Sweden unsigned, let's close this one! |
