I know about your close ties to Carlo. However, I got to say, the guy is made of glass. Something is always hurting him. It's unfortunate too because given the time to flourish properly he could cash in on a lot of potential. Maybe things will turn around, but history is no indicator of that.
Half of Carlo's injury problems are self inflicted. He needs to learn to reel it in a little bit. Smashing guys with every last inch of his strength consistently puts him in a more vulnerable postion to be hurt. A for instance was his attempt to wallpaper Koivu behind the Leaf net in the last Hab game. Koivu knows it's coming and ducks which resulted in Carlo doing a face plant into the boards and just about breaking his own neck. You can take your check out while not being so overly aggressive that the result ends up a detriment to yourself? He just needs to cool it a little and play more within himself and things will go a good deal better for him as far as injuries go.
