Players like Sundin, Hossa, Sakic, Campbell, etc. (I'm not naming the whole list of UFA's and RFA's), but where do you think they will end up?

Now that Tucker is out there he is definitely going to Tampa. Melrose has said he wants to improve his 3rd and 4th line, Tucker's agent used to be Melrose's agent, and Tucker used to play in Tampa. Done deal, right?
Next up: Josef Stumpel. Now that he's on waivers, where will he go? He hasn't actually cleared waivers yet though. Where does he fit in at - Montreal? LA again? Is he done in the NHL?
Rolston could go to Detroit (he's from Michigan).
San Jose has to keep Campbell - it's a top priority.
Sundin looks like a great fit in Montreal. It just doesn't make sense that he would sign there as a free agent when he could of been traded there at the trade deadline for an asset of some kind. Weird.
Sakic - I can't imagine him going anywhere else, he stays in Colorado. |

I just don't buy Campbell in Ottawa. It would seem to me that San Jose would do everything in their power to keep him. |

I've heard that Campbell may be going to Chicago because they really want him.
When the going gets tough....the tough get going! |

Of course they really want him, I'm sure almost every team in the NHL really wants him

Okay, maybe they did not...looks like the "rumour" I heard on NHL radio (that San Jose was locking him up for almost the exact same contract terms) was a bit pre-mature!! Wow, too bad for San Jose...I think they might slip a little this year. In my eyes this puts Chicago over the hump into definite playoff-bound status. Perhaps they are a solid bet for 2nd place in their division too. Edmonton also looks like a solid lock for playoff status with the moves they made. Anyone else hear the rumour about Vancouver offering Sundin $20M for 2 seasons? Sheesh.... |

That Sundin offer is plain stupid. That's the new GM in Vancouver taking a shot at a move to make himself look good early. With offers like these, I can see tha Canucks moving into a tie with Toronto as the Worst Managed team in Hockey.
I mean who the hell if Jeff Finger??? $3.5 million a year?? Plain stupid.
Chicago has done a great job so far in the FA market. I don't think they have really overpaid for anyone and have added two key pieces to the puzzle with Huet and Campbell. The look very nice to finish a solid 2nd in the Central division, and I don't think they are done yet. I also think there is a trade in the works for Havlat to go somewhere. I'd like to see him in Edmonton too, but his glass groin scares me.

I agree Beans! I thought Fletcher was doing better but then he signs Jeff Finger to a four year deal???? Man oh man, I have got to pity Leaf Nation! Leafs chances this year are based on Niklas Hagman and Jeff Finger. Looks like another depressing year for Leaf fans. And Vancouver? 20 million for 2 years for Sundin? ok, i'm not denying that he is a very talented player but he will probably only get you 70 points a year. Wow! Good luck Vancouver! You better hope this doesn't go through!
