when using split trades, can you have a player or position accumulate points for more then 82 games?

for example, you trade a player who has played 40 games for a player that has 45 games remaining, thus accumulating points for 85 games,

is this possible?

what about goalies?

thanks,

m

The answer to your question is yes. If you pick drop a player who has played 40 games for you and pick up a player that has 45 remaining then you will end up getting 85 games in your trade group.

on NHL.com you will from time to time see players that play 83 or 84 games in a season.
