Rumor has it that Ed Jovanovski will sign in Florida - his off season home and wife's home town. He will definitely get more than McCabe's 28 million over 5 years - but is he worth it?

Absolutely not, don't care what any Canucks fans have to say about it. He is overrated and is nothing more than a decent defenseman.

I agree, but...so is McCabe. And when one idiot GM sets the standard for overrated defensemen, others follow. I just hope they let him go and replace with two mid priced d men and not Redden or Chara who will both command AT LEAST 6 million each.

Oh yeah McCabe is the same as Jovo, a decent but overrated defenseman.

I agree Jovo is overrated but in a free market system he will get his 6 million and he is probably worth it. His ability to move the puck, his skating, and power play potential can't be ignored. Sure he makes some stupid plays every once in a while but who doesn't?
