The Canucks are expected to announce Alain Vigneault as their new head coach. He coached the farm club in Manitoba and has had some NHL experience in Montreal. Rumors surfaced this week that the Canucks were interested in Ken Hitchcock but he denied any interest in the Canucks. Next move - trade Bertuzzi!

Not really an indication of a major shake up. It reflects the Canucks lack of desire to spend any money this season.

Not sure what you mean by that? How does the hiring of Vigneault reflect a lack of desire to spend any money? The Canucks will spend up to the $44 milion cap - no matter who is the coach. This weekend will be interesting and I can see the Canucks making a big move.
