I would think that Cammaleri to Montreal is one of the best because he is a young goal scorer and is very talented. Even though it would cost the Habs a fair bit of money it is a good free agent pick.

Marian Gaborik is another good player which NYR took but he will have to be payed alot in 5 years, 37.5 million.

I chose David Booth as this was key to the Florida Panthers. Good up and coming player who was essential to their team as far as keeping him in the mix.

I think Gaborik's a bit of a risk, however, they basically got rid of one salary (Gomez) for another similar. If he can play even 60 games a year, he'll outscore what Gomez did for them! Watch out if he can manage 80+ games!

Ohlund signing with TB is huge, no one talks about it, but by the end of the year....people will all realize how amazing the Lighting D is...

Ranger was playing awesome hockey before he got hurt. He's at least a legitimate #3, maybe a #2 on some weaker teams. I agree that Ohlund is not a #1 but he's a #2 on most teams. Mezaros is also a #2/3.

So the Lightning have 3 players that are #2-#3 defensemen on most teams in the league. Sure, they are no Detroit, but it is a step up on last season. Especially if Ranger returns to pre-injury form.

Steve Sullivan. 2 years at 3.75M per. Such an under rated player.

This is guy can produce like Havlat at half the price and term. Very similar injury issues too.

This guy is very good at some points during the season. Sullivan sat out the entire 2007–08 NHL season because of a back injury. He made his comeback January 10th, 2009 against the Chicago Blackhawks. Due to his successful comeback during the 2008-09 season, Sullivan was awarded the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy for his perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey. He should do good in the 2009-2010 season.

I got to say the Havlat deal is a good one. 5 Mil a year for 6 years, age 28-34. That's affordable and at a decent length. If he stays out of injury trouble that's a steal for a top line winger.

Come on brentrock. Are you serious? This is word for word the final paragraph of the Wikipedia entry for Steve Sullivan under the ''Playing Career'' section. Check it out if you don't believe me.

You're smart enough to formulate your own opinions without taking other people's. Give yourself some credit. And if you do take someone else's opinion, than for crying out loud, give them the credit! This is two offenses of plagiarism in two days. Not cool man. And I will now quote your words from yesterday (note, I'm citing my sources):

Is it really that tough to quote your source? Maybe? But i figure if you've learned to cut and paste, surely you must know how to quote a source?
