gotta go with washington. i just dont see anyone in this division giving them any trouble. i mean maybe carolina or if lecavaier and st.louis play as good as they can in tampa, maybe, maybe they can challenge for the division, but thats a long shot. washington is just too good |

Wow, no respect for Carolina. Hasn't this team taken SE 4 of 5 years and is proven playoff wise. This is not a team to overlook. Too many good players on this team. Really, only a few piece's away from a dominant team here. Much more responsible in there own zone than Washington. I think Washington is more powerful offensively, but there is more of a proven veteran laden roster in Carolina.
It will be a battle for 1st to the last ten games and Washingotn probably comes out on top. Definately not a cake walk though. If these 2 teams met in the playoffs my money is on Carolina. |

thats the thing about carolina though. thy're the exact opposite of the san jose sharks. the sharks are the regular season kings but suck in the playoffs. now carolina definitley does not suck in the season, but they arent all that great, but in the playoffs they're amazing. especially cam ward. i disagree that it comes down to the last ten games but maybe im wrong.
ovechkin will do the same this year, score 100+ points with 50+ goals, backstrom is only going to get better and i think he could break out any second and reach 90 points easily. if semin plays to his full potential he is alway dangerous. varlamov has a lot to prove but if he brings what he brought from the playoffs to the regular season, he'll have a great year. and of course green will b the top defensmen offensivley.
im sorry i just dont see carolina beating them, again maybe im wrong but washington is just to good in my mind but i would also take carolina if they met in the playoffs |

I think thst the Southeast Division will look like this:
1. Washington 2. Carolina 3. Tampa Bay 4. Florida 5. Atlanta
I just can't see Tampa making the playoffs. Only the top two in this division will go into the playoffs. Tampa might make it into 8th but that isn't a very high possibility. |

Well.. Carolina did make it to the semi-finals last year so ill give them credit for that but I think they arent as strong as Washington, even though they still are a good team, but not good enough to win this division. They would come in second or third of my predictions.

1.Washington 2.Carolina 3.Tampa Bay 4.Florida 5.Atlanta
I think Florida and Atlanta are going to fall behind this year.

im the same as u brentrock
1.Washington 2.carolina 3.tampa 4.florida 5. atlanta
washington is just too good to not win this division. carolina should have a good year, i say they probably finish 5th or 6th in the conference. i cant see tampa having another bad year. stamkos should have a much better year now that he has 1 year of playing in the nhl under his belt. Hedman i think will have a solid rookie season, and will really benefit from having the veteran mattius ohlund by his side. as for florida, they didnt really do anything so they didnt really improve. atalanta, im kinda waiting on to see how good evander kane is and how much of an impact he will make. if he has a solid season, i wouldnt b surprised to see atlanta come 4th in the division over florida |
