are you joking? not only is that "fading effect" gross (it looks like something a roller hockey team would have), that stupid whale thing is a joke.....come to think of it, the nucks have never really had a nice jersey...I mean, their retro jerseys are the worst.....believe it or not, that hockey stick is supposed to represent a "C". Just another joke in the comedy of errors that is the vancouver canucks.

I hope to god you're joking......who does this freak show (sid) think he is, Monet?........That hairless freak should stick to diving and leave art to, i don't know, ARTISTS.....And another thing, that tim hortons commercial w/ him is pathetic...that close up of his gross, hairless face...SOOOO cheesy, "just a couple more minutes"....That's the biggest stereotype of a dedicated athelete...so not only are his post game comments stereotypes, his "dedication" is too! look at daniel brierre...That guy can only grow like 2 wiskers, but he knows his role and gives it a shot, WHAT A HERO!...Sid should join some frat, with all the other pretty boys so they can all hide in each others showers.....
On a jersey note.....Obviously it's the leafs...only a great team could get away with inventing a word (what the hell are leafs?......I've heard of leaves before)

| The Leafs' jerseys are boring, and the leaf should be red anyways since that's the way it is on Canada's flag. Have you ever seen a blue leaf? Cuz I sure haven't. And the Leafs are not a great team this year--they suck. Second to last in their division with 18 losses, a wimpy lowest-in-the-northeast .512 win percentage, and only one point more than lowly Boston. |

ok mikhhilova, you've croosed the line here.....not only do you burn a team with the ability to score 10 goals against "lowly" boston (hmmmmm boston's above 50%....that's ok last time I checked)...and second, blue is a beautiful colour....and these mythical "leafs" could be blue...(I'll agree, LEAVES aren't blue...but "leafs" could be any colour you like)
So if you're gonna come on here, and burn the greatest jersey and the greatest hockey franchise of all time, you'd better get a better attack campaign then "winning 51.2% is bad..and "boring jersey")

True, .512 isn't bad, but it's not that great either. Everyone in their division has a higher percentage, including Boston. Yeah they can score 10 goals against 'em but they can't win more games than them. And perhaps you should get a better attack campaign than "the fading effect is gross". |

sorry MIKHAILOVA (right this time  ...my contacts must have been out last time....What nationality is that anyways...just curious).....But with regards to this fading effect, the reason it is gross is b/c it looks like something out of a pink floyd laser show (don't get me wrong...I love pink floyd, I own all roger waters led albums), are they trying to trip the other teams out?.....SOLID colours suit a jersey, that way little kids can draw them easily for their 2nd grade art class...that sounds cheesey I know, but back in my grade school days I liked to draw hockey jersey's, I'd have to be a apprentice of Monet to draw that garbage.......AND I PROMISE THE LEAFS WILL GET MORE POINTS THAN PITTSBURGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mikhailova is Russian. I'm not Russian, but one of my friends gave me that nickname in reference to Boris Mikhailov. He was on the Russian team the US played against in 1980, and in the movie Miracle he was portrayed as a skilled and intimidating player (b/c he was in real life). My friend told me he thought I played hockey like Mikhailov so he gave me the nickname "Mikhailova"; in Russian you can add an A to the end of a last name to make it female. |

You know, there was a famous chilrens book called "the jersey", about the sacred habs uniform (which was one of my first books to read).....I don't think there are many jerseys in any sport more famous or memorable, or historical than the red habs jersey.....that's been around forever...So I hope you reconsider that statement.

| I also read that book, and I still don't care for that jersey. Mik is right, it's a boring-ass logo and is not appealing at all. Sure it has extreme historical significance for the sport of hockey and Canada, but this thread is about which logo looks best, and the Canadiens one is at the bottom of that list. |

Nice pic of the old Sabres jerseys, KS. That design is a million times better than the current one. And it actually has the team mascot on it.
One comment about the Canucks logo though--last time I checked whales didn't have huge teeth like that...they've got baleen or small teeth, but not friggin fangs! LOL |

| What I want to know is why Columbus chose a blue jacket to be their mascot. Their logo's OK, but that's just such a random choice...most mascots are either animals, natural disasters (i.e. Hurricanes, Lightning), or something that fits the local town (i.e Capitals for DC, Oilers for Edmonton), not articles of clothing. |
