I dunno...there are worse logos. What really gets me is Toronto's logo..why is the leaf blue?? That makes no sense (but hey, it's the Leafs, what do you expect?  lol) It's red on Canada's flag, and I think their logo would look better if the leaf was red. Just my opinion... |

However, the next season, the Leafs appeared for the first time in the blue and white sweaters they have worn ever since; Smythe did not want to make it look as though he favoured Roman Catholics. While the Leafs say that blue represents the Canadian skies and white represents snow, it is also true that top-level Toronto teams have worn blue since the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League adopted blue as their primary colour in 1873. Another theory is that Smythe changed the colours as a nod to his high school alma mater, Upper Canada College, whose teams have worn blue and white since 1829 and the University of Toronto whose teams have also worn blue and were called the Varsity Blues.[1]. |

I see...so the color of the leaf represents the color of the sky by the Leafs' logic. Typical...LOL
And last I checked the sky was blue everywhere, not just in Canada, eh (joking )
The choice of blue based on the CFL and universities makes sense though. |

Though the new logo is bold, dynamic and industrially modern, it's rooted in respect for the traditions of hockey's past. The new design's key element - the oil drop - is taken from the original Oilers logo. The five rivets encircling the oil drop represent the five Stanley Cups the team has won since its 1979 National Hockey League debut. The 10 gear teeth (five each on both the inner and outer rings) represent each of the Oilers' 10 team captains, who include such legends as Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier.
This was from Todd McFarlane's website. This is what he said about the Jersey he designed for the team that he partially owns.
What does the C in the box mean?? How creative is a C in a box???

I heard a rumor that the teams have to drop thier third jersey's next year since the "New Improved" jerserys are coming out. Any truth to this?? |

They do have that symbol on the shoulders of their jerseys, but it isn't their official logo. It should be though (that or the crossed sabres), because the new "Buffaslug" is ugly. |

i think by far the ugliest attempt at a jersey was the alternate bosten ones... the bright yellow with the bear in the middle! always made me chuckle when i saw them wear those gross jerseys... favorite would have to be sharks!! the classic shark biting the stick, i find it a wicked logo... expecially when they wear the all black jerseys

Boston stole UCLA's mascot. (Well not intentionally, but I think they should change it). The Bruins are the mascot of the University of California, Los Angeles, which was around before the Boston Bruins team was even created. Besides, have you ever seen any bears in urban Massachusetts? I sure haven't.
And geez, is BostOn really that hard to spell? C'mon I spelled Mississauga right, you all can spell Boston, lol |

I think the Florida Panthers logo is interesting. Not only because it looks cool, but also because I think they got the idea from a rare species of panther that lives down in Florida, creatively named Florida panthers. They are very endangered and only found in the southern area of the state. I saw one in a zoo once when I was in Florida.
