How about Gump Worsley...I think he was a WHL player the following season due to his greedyness for a paycheck

Correct, Lorne "Gump" Worsley won the Calder Trophy in 1952-53, his first NHL season, he then played in the minors the next season because of a contract dispute.

8.) What NHL team had the most top ten scorers on one team in one season ?
What was the year ?
Who were the players ?

It is the Boston Bruins but I can't remember the year or players. I think Johney Buyck and Bobby Orr were on the list.

Correct so far two more players to go, the 1970-71 Boston Bruins, Esposito 1st, Orr 2nd, Buyck 3rd, Hodge 4th, Cashman 7th...

Two more Boston players finished in the top ten...

I believe that Cleveland lost all (most?) of their picks in 1978
because they folded due to finances... But this doesnt count
as they were not 'eligible' to draft b/c of this.. hmm

Thinking....

The year 69 is incorrect.

The two teams are incorrect.

The year 83 is correct, but the wrong team...

Feel free to do some research, I won't say Google because some people may shed a tear...

I believe St.Louis is one of the teams. Something to the effect that they weren't even sure if the team would be around for the draft.

St Louis Blues were choked at the league for blocking the relocation to Saskatoon so they skipped the 83 draft. Wikipedia lists it as the first and only time this has ever happened.

Funny that there were 21 selections in the first two rounds and then only twenty for the remaining rounds. Did the Blues trade their 1st and 2nd rounders and then skip the rest?

1965 Toronto passed in all rounds.

Funny thing, I noticed that in the early draft years the Habs were given preferential treatment to select 2 French Canadian Players ahead of time instead of going round by round.

St. Louis is correct, in 1983 they did not participate.

He is a Doctor!

He went to U of A when he was 16.

It is also rumored that he owns a company that bears his name. Gregg Distributors, in Edmonton that ditributes products to Western Canada's
industrial, agricultural, automotive and heavy truck.

Not sure if this is true, but I know he is a Doctor for certain.

It's interesting that he was already a doctor when he played for the Oil...
He was an orthopedic surgeon (in training) and I believe beans is right that he co-owns a sports medicine clinic.
