How about your thoughts for naming the new conferences?
I think they should bring back the old division names again.
Adams, Patrick, Smythe & Norris.

I think I really like the historical aspect of the old division names, but Ithink they should go with RELEVANT history - history that means something to a huge core of fans my age (late 30's) and up, and have names that the young guys would have at least heard about.
If it went great hockey players, they could be the
Gretzky Conference (west coast plus Colorado and Phoenix)
Yzerman Conference (midwest teams)
Orr Conference (Northeast + Florida teams)
Lemieux Conference (Atlantic teams)
Or, they could go more with the builder-type names . . . which makes a bit more sense, and then doesn't snub anyone (Messier) or use a name of people who are still integrally involved with their respectice teams (especially Lemieux).
For that, I need to think about it more.

I already posted this in the other forum but I agree with you except I would have Howe instead of Yzerman. Not as current but in my opinion those are the four best players of all time.
