I hope he retires, well yes i'd be sad to see he him leave and i wont be glad if he retires but he just came off the greatest season hes ever had and now would be the perfect time for him to retire. I think he should do it

He has more like 4 more seasons left him, but he probably will call it quits. What's he going to play for now?

I think he should just leave now. The Ducks will have many problems with the Cap if he comes back and he has won everything there is to win. I think he should call it a career and go into brodcasting.

There is only one good reason for retiring at 34. That is not having the desire to play anymore. If that is gone then please do retire. I honestly can't understand why he would have lost the desire to play. It isn't like he has won the Cup every year he played. But I do believe he has lost the desire to play. I noticed it when they won the cup this year. He just didn't seem as thrilled as maybe he should have been. It appeared to me as though he was just going through the motions. I've seen a lot of players hoist that cup and I can't remember one that seemed less enthused about it.
