Hey Andy, I remember that one like it was yesterday. That fight was pretty much the end of Bouchard's career. Stan Jonathon lives not too far from me although I do not know him personally. I saw him once at a card show signing autographs but that was at least 12 yrs ago.
If you want to see some crazy hockey check out the documentary "The Chiefs" or "Les Chiefs" I can't remember which it was now. The big guy who used to be in the military is absolutly insane.
McSorley vs. Probert is a great fight. http://youtube.com/watch?v=oR389em23T8 I think the best part of the fight is the fact that they tap heads at the end as if to say "Good fight, mate."
Another big fight was Larry Robinson vs. Dave Schultz. http://youtube.com/watch?v=HZmRWz_Dyk0 This one's special because Robinson didn't fight all that often and he obliterated Schultz AND, it basically spelled the end of the Broad Street Bullies era and the beginning of another Canadiens dynasty.
Hey Spade632, I watched both your fights. Thanks for the links. That Probert/McSorely bout was something else. One of the best bantam weight bouts I have ever seen was Darcy Tucker (TB) against Steve Thomas (ML). Both those smallish guys just stood there and threw them. I remember thinking both of them lost the fight because they tagged each other so many times and wore each other out with nobody going down.

Emery beating the stuffing out of Biron and McCabe getting thrown around by Chara...though I felt bad for McCabe because that is so embarrassing

I would have to go with Probert VS Cox (I remember seeing it on one of Don Cherry's early Rock-em-Sock-em videos)
Hey Kariya/Selanne, Thanks for the links. I have never seen that Chara vs. Lecavalier bout before. It is a good thing Chara let up on him for Vinnie's sake. Chara scares the crap outa' me because I can't help but think he is going to really seriously hurt somebody one of these times?

I think if Chara was going to seriously hurt somebody he would have by now...luckily enough hes the type of guy that beats the other guy up and then holds back that one last punch when the other guy is helpless -I have seen him do that a couple times now. Someone should find one of those videos on youtube -dont have the time right now

After that game I was watching TSN and they interviewed Lecavalier and he said he has never been hit that hard in his life!
I think they need to find another monster so Chara actually has competition because he pretty much destroys anyone in any fight.
I'm not really a proponent of violence but I have to admit the old NHL was far more exciting that what we are seeing today. There has been a cry go up this season that goes something like this "Gary, Give Us Back Our Game". I am hearing it more and more these days.
