Wouldn't it be bloody amazing to see the Habs and the Oil play for the Stanley Cup in '09? Can't think of a match-up I'd rather see.
The Oil WILL make the playoffs in 2009. |

Was the Oilers making the final a miracle a few years ago???
I think the Oilers are a better team on paper than they were when they did make the finals. Sure Proger's gone, but Visnovsky takes his place. Spacek is gone, but Souray is here. Smyth is gone, but I think Cole is an upgrade there. Still have Horcoff, Pisani, Moreau, Staios, Roloson, and Hemsky. Plus, the Oilers also now have Cogliano, Gagner, Nilsson, Penner, and Garon.
The Oilers are a better team today than the team that made it not only to the finals, but literally within a couple of periods of winning the Cup. |
