Yeah I watched it. They didn't show a close-up of McLennan's slash, and it looked like it was to the face. So I didn't see it clearly.

| I hope Vancouver can take this series. Easier time for the sharks:p I like the sharks and in my most serious pool I have Pavelski, Marleau, Clowe, Michalek and the 6 others are Bertuzzi, Huselius, Zajac, Tkachuk, Vanek, Kotalik. |

| Well seeing how Vancouver can't score, I'm actually starting to think that they wouldn't be so bad to play against. I would like to see Van lose but I'm secretly cheering for them so that SJ can play Detroit in the next round. |

| Are you kidding? SJ owns Detroit (last time they played SJ scored 6 PPGs and won 9-4) and has for the past few years. SJ would win in 5 or less, guarancheese. |

| Great game for the fourth straight. I can't believe the energy both teams had coming into this game. But, you gotta admit Babs, Kipp played a fantastic game. Maybe best game of the first round. Unreal. |

So now it all comes down to tonight's game. If Dallas wins, then they will play Detriot and Anaheim will play San Jose. If Vancouver wins, they will play Anaheim and Detriot will play San Jose.

So Leigh, how does it feel to have your team knocked out of the playoffs? I have a friend at school from Calgary and boy did I rub it in her face today, lol. The HOME loss, the getting kicked out of the playoffs, the fines, the suspension...hoo yeah!
Never doubt the Sabres 1CF. Remember when they came from behind 4-1 and beat the Leafs? They're taking the Rangers down! |

I would like to see Dallas win tonight for a couple of reasons.
1) Vancouver is just like Calgary. Weak team with a goalie who is playing great. (I still don't like Kipper but man did he play well against Detroit.) They don't deserve to win. Also.......
2) I want to see San Jose play Anaheim and beat them. Most of the guys in my playoff pool went very heavy on Anaheim and I went deeper with San Jose. I think San Jose would win that series and take out a bunch of players. Also.........
3) I think San Jose would beat Detroit, and I have Lidstrom and Datsuyk in my draft. I would like to see them play Dallas to about 6 games and then get knocked out by San Jose in the West final in 7. Max points for me. Also.......
4) I also have a straight up bet on tonights game with a guy at work, and I bet Dallas to win! And finally...........
5) Vancouver Sucks. 'nough said. |

| I want Vancouver to win, for the simple fact that SJ would play Detroit, which is much easier of a challenge than Anaheim. But, if Dallas wins then I keep Zubov in my pool and well I don't really like Vancouver. I'm good either way. |

well Buffalo won 3-2 that 1 goal in the late stages of the 3rd was crucial for the Rangers and whatnot and WHOOO Canucks are winning 1-0

Sharks blew a 2-0 lead and lost 3-2 to Detroit. Pierre McGuire was interviewing coach Wilson and some Wings fan behind the glass was making rabbit ears above Wilson's head, LOL!
And of course, octopi were flying as usual in Detroit. |

Today Jaromir Jagr tied Steve Yzerman for 15th-best all time in career playoff goals (they both have 70), and got three penalties. I've never seen him so fired up. He really wanted to win and he did. The Rangers played a good game and fought hard, but of course I'm mad the Sabres lost.
Both teams had some really close goals that almost went in but landed about a millimeter away from the line. Both the goalies were good today, but Lundqvist was the better. DANG IT!
On a better note, Thomas Vanek has been quite the emerging superstar lately. 5 playoff goals, 2 of the game-winners. Plus a decent performance in the regular season. This guy doesn't get the credit/media attention that he should. I'd say he is the most underrated player right now. And he's from the University of Minnesota. That's always a plus! (I'm a big Golden Gophers fan). |
